Generating and Disseminating the Evidence to Improve Cardiovascular Health

This talk is presented by Robert Cali, MD, MACC. Dr. Califf is the winner of the The Libin/AHFMR prize for Excellence in Cardiovascular Research which is awarded to a world-class basic, clinical or health researcher whose work is deemed to have had a major impact on the understanding, prevention, recognition or treatment of cardiovascular health. Dr. Califf is vice chancellor for health data science for the Duke University School of Medicine; director of Duke Forge, Duke’s center for health data science; and the Donald F. Fortin, MD, Professor of Cardiology. In November of 2019 he will be stepping into the role of Head of Medical Strategy and Policy for Verily and Google Health. Dr. Cali? was the founding director of the Duke Clinical Research Institute and is one of the most frequently cited authors in biomedical science.
