50+ Lecture Series: Social Media and Digital Communication After 50

Communicating using the device of your choice is a challenge at any age. Understanding what social media was designed for, is the first step to deciding what platforms are useful for you, whether you want to share pictures with a relative, or strike up a conversation with a stranger 3,000 miles away. If you have ever tried to determine if what you read online is true, or are simply interested in staying current in a digital world, join Cathy Burrell for a fun, interactive and informative tour of the social media and digital space. Cathy is an experienced adult educator, M. Ed University of Calgary, and co-host of the CJSW 90.9 podcast: Aged to Perfection/Old Enough To Know Better. Bring your own device, or ask staff to provide a Chromebook for you if you don't have your device.
